3D Printing for Repair

This project focused on exploring how 3D printing can empower consumers in the repair process by making it more accessible and user-friendly. The research aimed to identify barriers preventing widespread adoption, such as technical complexity, cost, and limited design knowledge. By analyzing user needs and experimenting with different tools, I developed strategies to simplify the process, including the creation of customizable 3D printable repair parts and easy-to-follow guidelines. The project emphasized sustainability by encouraging repair over replacement, showcasing how emerging technologies like 3D printing can support a circular economy and extend the lifespan of everyday products.
