Circular Saddle Design | Swapfiets

For my Final Master Project at TU/e, I collaborated with Swapfiets on a research-driven design project addressing sustainability and cost challenges in their operations. Through in-depth analysis of repair and replacement data, I identified key areas for improvement, focusing on enhancing product longevity and circularity. The project resulted in the design of a mono-material TPU saddle, which is 100% recyclable and minimizes environmental impact while maintaining durability and comfort. By combining data insights with innovative design, the project delivers a scalable solution that supports Swapfiets' mission to achieve full circularity by 2025, aligning business goals with sustainable practices.
